CLEVELAND, OHIO - Sixteen Metro State student-athletes were named recipients of the inaugural Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award presented by Weatherport.

The program recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level. Sixty-seven institutions participated in the awards program and 2188 student-athletes were recognized.

In order for a student-athlete to receive the award, the athletics director of the institution must be a current member of the Division II ADA. In addition, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, must have attended a minimum of four semesters of college-level work and must have been a member of an intercollegiate team during his or her last academic year.
