Chelsea Rutter Finishes Third In 3000-Meter Steeplechase

GUNNISON, COLO. -- Chelsea Rutter finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase to lead Metro State after day two of the RMAC Track and Field Championships, Monday at Western State. Rutter ran a time of 12.12.5 to finish third as the Roadrunner women are sixth with 11 points. Western State leads with 80, followed by Adams State (56) and Nebraska-Kearney (47). For the men, Kyle Simcox finished sixth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:00.0. The Roadrunners are seventh with three points. Adams State leads with 82, followed by Western State (65) and Nebraska-Kearney (54). Marjaneh Gross finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 16-7.75, while Jasmine Neal was ninth. Taebrooke Rutter ran a time of 41:47.23 to finish seventh in the women's 10,000 meters, while Jacob Schuman was 11th (34:57.49) and Chris LeBlanc was 14th in the men's event of the same length. The RMAC Championships conclude Tuesday. |
